Two alarms set, 3:00 AM and 3:02, phone ringer tested, double-checked. I wake up at 02:38, awake. There hasn’t been much snow and hailing a cab is fast. The bar crowd is still producing a rush for taxis, so mine is close. I’m up, showered and dressed in 15. I signal Dave, he’s up. We leave in darkness.
